Not once, Not twice, But THRICE!

Modern rock fans rejoiced on Tuesday, October 25th, when underground rock legends 'Thrice' performed at Grand Rapids venue, 'The intersection', with 'La dispute', 'Moving Mountains', and 'O' Brother'.

Imagine a fairly large, underground rock venue. Fill it with PBR loving Hipster rock fans, the smell of cheap beer, the stench of a bunch of people having a good time, and indie/underground hard rock music filling the air. that just about sets the mood for this particular night. say it sounds like a good night? Hell yeah it was a good night.

The first band to hit the stage was 'O' Brother'. These guys were nice mix of 'Radio head', and any other generic experimental hard rock band, but their energy was great. with their feedback induced power cords, to their driving percussion, im surprised I haven't seen them before.

Next up was 'Moving Mountains'. Yet another post indie, hip, experimental rock group. After all these guys had a hell of a sound. No holes, No empty spaces, their Music had a fullness to it, but it wasn't too much. They sounded Great.

Leading into the main event was Grand Rapids local legends, 'La Dispute'. Damn. These guys have a hell of a unique sound. Its not for everybody, but its very unique. These guys have a post indie, experimental feel, but with much more of a raw, bold feel to it. With their hard-hitting lyrics, and their heavy drive, I don't Blame the crowd for starting a mosh pit.

Topping off the night, the band everybody was waiting for. 'Thrice'. There was a reason this was their show, and it was very clear within the first cord they played. Whoa, These guys are Tight. With their dominant wall of sound and their experimental/hard rock feel, these guys got a hell of a response from the crowd.

By the end of the night, everyone went home happy. With a song in thier heads and a beer in their hands. I think all attending would agree, that this was an epic show.
