Inside a teacher's perspective

On the internet I discovered that on a ranking survey done in United States Maryland with a B+ (87.6) average is the top state, while Michigan ranked 24th place with an average of C+ (77.2)! The lowest however of the 51 states is Nebraska with D+ (68.6) average. So we're not that far behind in academic ability, but an interview with a well-liked teacher gave me insight on that it's vital to study in order to do well in school. Of course, there are other things, but to do well students, like myself, have to UNDETSTAND the material. She has taught me that it is more beneficial to study when the material that we have learned in fresh in our head. So, that would mean right after school or if someone is involved in an activity well, as soon as he or she gets home would be fine. Although, she does say that even a quick skim through notes and work papers is alright, but she did make it clear that studying right before a test is a no, most of the stuff that we 'review' will most likely be lost when we begin the test!
