Eye opening..

What went on in the assembly can on be recognized as an eye opening experience. Sure, some of the students showed support for finding a cure to Alzheimer's, but what really made most of us think were the speeches from our beloved football players Preston, Daniel, and Scott. Having them share their experiences when they visited the Home was spectacular. Many of us don't take into consideration that Alzheimer's isn't just a disease where you forget everything all the time. We only take in the superficial aspect of it when in reality it's a disease that doesn't have a cure, yet. Not only that, but the families of these victims are bearing the fact that this disease is consuming their loved one slowly making it much more unbearable.
The school has done a fine job in raising awareness of this disease. Not only that, but the participation of our school has made it much more important.

I give my respects to those victims and those that don't lose hope.

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at it destination full of hope." -Maya Angelou
