On Monday January 9, Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks made thier way out to the White House to meet the our president Barack Obama. They made this visit because they were NBA champions last year, So the team set out and took a trip to talk and discuss a few things about being champions and had a chance to ask the president a few questions they had. And along with the team they brought the president an official autograph Dallas Maverick jersey signed from the whole team as a present to the president.
Everyone got a chance to shake the president hand except for one Maverick point guard Delontae West. Delontae could not join his team in the White House visit because of the arrest records he has had in the past. Delontae and his team were sad in the mistakes he had done in the past but all he and his teammates can do is look forward and help his team win another championship.
